If you are a dreamer, come in

If you are a dreamer, a wisher, a liar, A hope-er, a pray-er, a magic bean buyer..

If you're a pretender, come sit by my fire

For we have some flax-golden tales to spin.

Come in!

Come in!

My Therapeutic Services

Therapy

My therapeutic approach is eclectic and multifaceted. I am holistic, trauma-informed, and attachment-based. I work with Acceptance and Commitment therapy, as well as Internal Family Systems, and mindfulness. What does all of that mean? Let me explain.

I recognize healing encompasses the interconnectedness of your mind, body, and spirit. By considering all these dimensions, we can work towards achieving balance, vitality, and self-awareness.

I will approach your healing journey with sensitivity and compassion. Together we will create a safe, validating space, always prioritizing your autonomy and empowerment.

I recognize the impact of early relationships on your sense of self, as well as your feeling of safety (or lack of safety) in relationships. I will work to provide safety, empathy, and attunement in our therapeutic relationship.

I have seen individuals come home to themselves through the principles of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). In ACT, we practice accepting difficult thoughts, emotions, and life experiences without judgment. Values clarification and goal-setting are employed to align actions with personal values and promote fulfillment and psychological flexibility.

In Internal Family Systems (IFS), we recognizes the presence of various internal parts within each individual (Think “Inside Out” by Pixar) Together we will explore and honor the different aspects of your internal system, identifying and understanding their roles and functions. By fostering self-leadership and part integration, we will work towards restoring balance and harmony within your psyche.

I will encourage you to incorporate mindfulness practices to develop present-moment awareness, nonjudgmental observation, and self-compassion.

Couples Counseling

If you come to me as a couple, we will explore the beginning of your relationship, with a focus on your interpersonal strengths and potential. In addition, we will bravely examine communication styles, attachment wounds, and relationship behaviors and patterns.

EMDR

EMDR, which stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, is a trusted, evidence-based therapeutic method developed for the treatment of trauma-related disorders, particularly post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). It has since been used to address a wide range of psychological issues, including anxiety, phobias, depression, and addiction. EMDR is a valuable tool in helping people find relief from symptoms and move toward healing and recovery. As an EMDR-trained professional, I will provide a safe, supportive environment for you to process emotional challenges you may be facing.

Psychedelic Preparation and Integration

I have a keen interest in the compelling research that validates the therapeutic benefits of psychedelic medicine. I have completed Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy training with the Integrative Psychiatry Institute, continuing MDMA-assisted therapy training with MAPS (Multi-disciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies) and I am a licensed facilitator for psilocybin in Oregon.
